The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team played a solid all-around game in the 2nd round of the Big 8 tournament against the Yellow Jackets of Concord. The team scored 17 points in each of the 1st two quarters while building a 34-6 halftime lead. They would find their range in the second half against the Concord zone, hitting 7 triples, and outscoring Concord 31 - 25 in the 2nd half for a final of 65-31.
The team once again played unselfishly with 9 of the 11 dressed players scoring points, including 7 athletes combining for 11- 3pt field goals. The team was led by Bradley Buddenborg and Jonathan Crow with 12 points each and Evan Lockhart with 11. Remington Christie and Kipp Vogel each added 8.
The team improved to 11-0 on the season and will compete for the Big 8 Tournament Title at Home this Saturday. The tip-off is at 10:30.
